1. Renter & Driver Requirements

The minimum age to rent and drive is 21 years old. The main driver must present a valid original driver's license from their home country or international, plus official passport or ID. Jay Rent Car SRL guarantees never to retain original documents.

2. Security Deposit & Payment Methods

A refundable security deposit of $200 USD is required upon vehicle delivery. Rates are quoted in USD and can be settled in Dominican Pesos (DOP) at 60.00 DOP per 1 USD. Card payments incur an 18% ITBIS tax.

3. Vehicle Usage, Mileage & Authorized Zones

The rental includes unlimited mileage on all paved and accessible public roads across the Dominican Republic. Subleasing, unauthorized drivers, driving under the influence, and off-road driving on beaches or unauthorized trails are strictly prohibited.

4. Fuel Policy & Return

Vehicles are delivered with a full tank and must be returned full. A grace period of up to 59 minutes is provided for returns. Missing fuel is billed at current refueling rates. Airport deliveries (SDQ, PUJ, STI) are coordinated 24/7 with flight confirmation.

5. Insurance Coverage, Liability & 24/7 Roadside Assistance
